As I began this post I realized that it was around this time 16 years ago that Chad and I first became friends.  The early years of our friendship were filled with road trips, laughter, garage parties and many late night cruises in his ugly old van that he somehow made cool.  (speakers and stickers can make almost anything cool when you’re in highschool!)

This past weekend unsurprisingly was filled with much of the same.  Just a little bit of a different flavour.  Road trip to Calgary, dinner parties, plenty of laughter and a cruise in his much groovier van with his gorgeous fiancé Heather! 

It was so fun getting to hang out with these two!  We headed to the mountains and stopped in some random places around Canmore and got some really great photos!

I first met Amy a few years ago through some mutual friends and had the pleasure of getting to know her a bit better last year when I photographed her sister Lisa’s wedding here in Nelson.  I was super stoked when I got the call….Steve (her boyfriend) had proposed to her on a hammock in their back yard!!!  Yipee! Needless to say, I was super excited to pop by for a visit and do some photos of the two of them before the hammock got packed away for the season!
