Winter camping is a lot of work. There always seems to be a part of your body that you just can’t warm up and the fire is continuously on the verge of going out as it sinks into the snow. Keeping dry and staying warm are always on your mind. So what’s the point?
Exercise, fresh air and is this case….hot springs.
There’s something so wrong, but so right about taking off all of your clothes in the middle of the woods when it’s just below zero. This past weekend I skied into St. Leon hot springs north of Nakusp and spent a total of 24 hours soaking, eating and laughing with great people.
